when you use the WHOLE instrument
A transcription of Paloma Cobbs-Silva's last cadenza on VIP's Boogie performed at Essentially Ellington 2022. This one took a lot of work, which is also I didn't transcribe every solo in this recording. Still, I had to do something from this because of how absolutely incredible it was. I hope you all enjoy it as much as I did!

A transcription of Joshua Meader's guitar break on Spain by Chick Corea, as played by the Chad LB Virtual Big Band. I have loved this break for so long, something about is just magical, and I wanted to transcribe and share it. I also started transcribing the piano solo, which is fantastic as well, so look for that soon! I hope you all enjoy it! Original: ruclips.net/video/PNsvVOvQ3gk/видео.html...

A transcription of Carlos Eiene, aka Insaneintherainmusic, and his EWI (Electronic Wind Instrument) solo on his arrangement of Studiopolis Zone with the 8-bit Drummer. This is such a great solo and a bit of a niche instrument, and I thought it would be interesting to do. Hope you like it as well, and thanks for watching! A transcription of the intro on this live recording of Space Road by Casiopea. A friend of mine recently introduced me to this band and they are incredible. A transcription of Abigail Miller playing The Star Crossed Lovers by Duke Ellington at Essentially Ellington. I heard this and couldn't not transcribe it. It kind of reminded me of my other "nostalgia" video, so if there were ever to be a sequel to video on this channel, here it is. I hope you enjoy it, because I know I did! A transcription of Tim Green's first chorus on Moanin, where an audience member proves to be the biggest hype man ever. Jokes aside, this chorus and the rest of the solo are really good, and I do wish more audiences felt comfortable reacting to jazz in a way similar to this, even if it's a bit over the top in this video. I hope you enjoy it, and thanks for your support! Original: ruclips.net/vi...

Im so glad Im not in HS jazz anymore. These kids are great and I had a great time, dont get me wrong.... Id just personally hate ending up on YT doing a trumpet solo. 😂 .....understand that im saying: If i were to be in that situation back then, the vid would have titled "when you solo to a diffrent song than the band" or something like that. 👍🤣 "How much cringe can one trumpet player create?" ....things like that. 😂

If there’s really anyone out there who doesn’t know the clarinet’s connection to jazz, it would have to be because they know virtually nothing about music history. Never heard of Benny Goodman, Artie Shaw, Pete Fountain, or just about ANY Dixieland Jazz band or Big Band EVER? If such a person exists, it’s sad that they don’t know what they’ve been missing.
